Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership on interdisciplinary projects and community experiences. Support students in developing confidence, persistence, problem-solving skills, and respect for their own work and the work of others. Maintain appropriate classroom management consistent with Montessori principles and Columbus Montessori expectations. Maintain a safe environment and teach appropriate use of art materials and equipment. Qualifications Experience teaching art to elementary and/or middle school-aged students preferred. Ability to create an inclusive environment where students of varying artistic abilities feel successful and encouraged. Our Art Teacher should provide students with the skills and techniques they need while also giving them the freedom to make choices, experiment, take creative risks, and develop their own artistic voice.
