Position Type:
Part-Time (10-20 hours/week) About Us At Bottle & Bottega Portland by Painting with a Twist, we host fun, energetic, interactive paint-and-sip events! We guide guests through creating acrylic paintings, glassware, wood pallet art, and custom murals while enjoying drinks and a great playlist. We teach "fun art, not fine art," delivering a memorable night out for public classes, private parties, corporate team-building, and special events. Position Summary We are seeking an outgoing, high-energy Art Instructor & Event Host to lead step-by-step painting sessions. This role requires equal parts artistic technique and stage presence. You will create an inviting, stress-free atmosphere on stage while painting live alongside guests and offering hands-on assistance.
Key Responsibilities Lead Live Events:
Instruct groups of 5 to 50+ guests step-by-step through a selected painting on canvas, glassware, or wood within a 2- to 3-hour window.
Stage & Crowd Engagement:
Entertain the audience, facilitate games/trivia, play music, and foster an enthusiastic, supportive atmosphere.
Prep & Setup:
Prepare paint supplies, palettes, aprons, and easels prior to guest arrival. Set up master artwork for demonstration.
Guest Hospitality:
Welcome guests, assist with seating, and ensure a seamless paint-and-sip experience.
Breakdown & Cleaning:
Maintain studio cleanliness, clean brushes, wash palettes, reset tables, and manage studio inventory post-event.
Social Media & Event Photography:
Take high-quality photos during events to showcase guest experiences on social media.
Qualifications & Requirements Artistic Proficiency:
Strong background in acrylic painting and visual arts. Ability to paint quickly while speaking and teaching on stage.
Stage Presence & Personality:
Confident, charismatic, and comfortable entertaining and speaking in front of large crowds.
Reliability:
Punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
Age Requirement:
Must be 21+ years of age (due to alcohol service environment).
Certifications & Licensing:
Must possess or be willing to obtain an Oregon Liquor Control and Cannabis Commission (OLCC)
Service Permit and Food Handlers Card Transportation:
Personal Transportation Not Required, but preferred. Helpful for off-site/mobile events across the Portland metro area.
Schedule & Availability Part-Time Hours:
