Nature of position : Temporary, part-time
Job Summary/Basic Function:
Join Our Team at Millersville University! The Department of Art & Design needs temporary part-time Instructors for courses in Art Education, including: Student Teacher Supervision. Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for observing and supervising student art teachers during their practical clinical work in a public K-12 school setting and providing the required written evaluations of student teacher's performances. In addition, the Student Teacher Supervisor regularly advises student teachers, visits them in their clinical experience site, observes and evaluates their performance, confers with the cooperating teacher(s), and serves as a liaison between the University and the area schools. The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.

Required Qualifications:
Relevant MEd or equivalent. Three-five years of K-12 teaching experience. Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations. Successful interview and teaching demonstration. Successful completion of three background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or ABD. Experience supervising student teachers. Prior college-level teaching experience.
