- 20 hours/week Days Worked Flexible, M-F Hours/Shift worked Flexible, during office hours Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Psychology is looking for a candidate to assist the department secretary with day to day operations within the department. Required Qualifications
- Must be familiar with MS Office software
- Must be able to work with a diverse population
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be responsible and dependable
- Must know the importance of confidentiality in an office setting
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be in good academic standing with a GPA of at least 3.00
- Successful completion of three background checks Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an office setting Job Duties Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Typing, filing, copying, shredding
- Answering phone calls
- Assisting students with questions
- Assisting faculty with departmental events (open house, Psychology department picnic)
- Processing mail
- Running errands
- Monitoring departmental bulletin boards
- Assisting with tutoring assignments
- Creating applicant folders for graduate school interviews Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds
