Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Art Teacher to inspire creativity and artistic expression among elementary and middle school students. In this role, you will develop or use our curricula, that fosters students' artistic skills across visual arts. Your enthusiasm for arts education will help cultivate a vibrant learning environment where sparks are ignited, confidence is built, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts is developed. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' development through innovative teaching methods and creative projects. Duties Lead engaging classroom lessons that promote hands-on learning experiences in arts creation and performance Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment Develop and oversee student projects including, but not limited to, acrylics, sketching, pottery, photography assignments, sewing crafts, culinary demonstrations, and other creative visual arts. Support students' individual artistic growth through personalized feedback and encouragement Optional; coordinate extracurricular youth programs focused on arts education and performance opportunities like an art walk for kids or amateurs Collaborate with colleagues to integrate arts into broader curriculum goals and school events Experience experience working with children in educational or youth program settings background check Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards in creative arts instruction Experience managing classrooms effectively within diverse student populations Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Familiarity with early childhood education or preschool experience is a plus Join us if you are eager to inspire young minds through the transformative power of the arts!
