Job Description

About the role Creative Hands Studio is seeking a passionate and imaginative Art Camp Instructor to lead our themed weekly summer art camps. You'll guide campers through exciting multi-medium projects in a structured yet playful environment — with Free Art and open play woven into each day. Every week brings a fresh theme and new creative challenges, keeping both you and your campers inspired all summer long. Camp formats you'll teach Art camp
  • 5 full days, 5 half days, 3 days, 1 day drop-in
  • Monday to Friday 8.
30am to 4.15pm from June 15 to August 30. Before that we will start part time. What you'll do Deliver weekly themed art projects using a variety of media — full-day campers complete two different-medium projects per day; half-day campers complete one focused project.
For full-day sessions:
facilitate one consistent half-day project running all 5 days alongside rotating daily medium projects. Weave Free Art time and structured play between projects to give campers creative breathing room and exploration time. Prepare and set up materials for each project, maintaining a clean and organized studio workspace throughout the day. Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere where every camper feels encouraged to express themselves and take creative risks. Communicate daily with parents and coordinate with studio staff to ensure smooth drop-off, pick-up, and camper well-being. What we're looking for
Required:
Experience teaching or leading art activities with children in a camp, school, or studio setting.
Required:
Hands-on proficiency with multiple art media (painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking, etc.).
Required:
Ability to manage a group of children in a dynamic studio environment throughout the full camp day.
Preferred:
Background in fine arts, art education, early childhood education, or a related field.
Preferred:
Experience with pottery or ceramics is a plus — pottery camp instruction may be available. Warm, patient, and enthusiastic presence with a genuine love for nurturing creativity in young artists. Ability to pass a background check (required for all youth-serving staff).
