As a part-time Art Teacher, you'll play a vital role in inspiring creativity and self-expression while supporting the diverse needs of all learners through engaging, art instruction. You'll help foster a love for the arts in students of all abilities. This is a part-time position that is 3 days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8am to 4pm
Job Goal:
To implement an approved educational program and establish a classroom environment that is consistent with our District Philosophy, fosters integrated learning, thinking, cooperation, and personal and social growth. To ensure that students are the nucleus of the school system and our educational decisions are guided by what we consider to be best for students so that they are given every reasonable opportunity to realize their best selves.
Qualifications:
A current teaching license Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities The ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Current First Aid/CPR certified or must obtain Demonstrated ability to: work collaboratively carry out emergency/crisis response procedures perform all computer technology tasks associated with the position maintain confidentiality communicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, patrons Commitment to the Pulaski Board of Education Educational Philosophy Demonstrated skills in positive human relations and cultural competence Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict management
