Preferred qualifications and experience:

Valid state teaching license or certificate as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and developing accommodations for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Knowledge of various communication modalities, including sign language and assistive technology Proven ability to work in-person as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and adaptability to caseload needs Key responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in accordance with their IEPs Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success Employ a variety of communication methods tailored to individual student needs Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings as required Adapt teaching strategies to ensure inclusion and equitable learning opportunities This role offers the professional satisfaction of seeing your students thrive, as well as the stability of a multi-year contract commitment.
