Ahwatukee Foothills Montessori is seeking an enthusiastic, fluent Spanish speaker to lead our Spanish program for preschool and kindergarten students. This is a unique opportunity to help young children develop a love of the Spanish language through songs, stories, conversation, games, and hands-on activities in a warm, child-centered Montessori environment. Schedule Part-time 2 mornings per week Approximately 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM School-year position (August-May) Position Overview Rather than teaching a traditional "Spanish class," our Spanish teacher becomes part of the classroom community. Spanish instruction is woven naturally throughout the morning using age-appropriate activities, songs, stories, movement, games, and conversation.

The Spanish teacher will:

Lead portions of the classroom morning in Spanish when appropriate. Present engaging small-group Spanish lessons. Introduce new vocabulary through hands-on activities. Encourage conversational Spanish in a fun, supportive environment. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Spanish into weekly classroom themes. Help develop and maintain Spanish learning materials for classroom use. Qualifications High School Diploma Fluent in spoken Spanish (native or near-native proficiency preferred) Experience teaching or working with young children (preschool or elementary preferred) Warm, patient, and energetic personality Strong classroom management skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers Reliable, professional, and punctual Must hold a current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (or be able to obtain one prior to employment). Preferred Qualifications Early childhood education experience Montessori experience (not required) Experience teaching Spanish as a second language to young children We Are Looking For Someone Who...
