In person About Us Global Lingual Academy is a vibrant, multilingual learning center that inspires children to explore languages and cultures through hands-on activities, music, movement, games, and creative projects. We are seeking an enthusiastic Chinese teacher to lead engaging Saturday classes for young children. Position Overview The Part-Time Chinese Teacher will lead two small-group classes on Saturday mornings: 10:00 AM-12:00
PM:
Beginner Chinese class for children ages 4-7 12:00-1:00
PM:
Chinese Reading and Writing Classes are designed to be fun, interactive, and highly engaging, using music, movement, games, stories, and hands-on activities to introduce children to Chinese in a positive and playful environment. The teacher will be responsible for preparing materials, setting up and cleaning up the classroom, and creating a warm, welcoming experience for children and families. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate Chinese lessons Lead music, movement, games, stories, and hands-on activities Create a playful and supportive environment that encourages children to participate and use Chinese Prepare classroom materials before class and clean up afterward Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment Communicate with the director regarding student progress or needs Participate in occasional special events as needed (paid) Qualifications Fluent in Chinese Previous experience working with children, preferably in a teaching, enrichment, or classroom setting Comfortable teaching children through play, music, movement, and interactive activities Energetic, creative, patient, and enthusiastic Strong classroom management and organizational skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Passionate about sharing the Chinese language and culture with children and families If you love working with children and sharing your passion for the Chinese language and culture, we would love to hear from you!
