Duties Fabricate and finish dental prostheses including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported restorations using traditional laboratory techniques and digital design tools. Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise 3D models for custom prosthetic fabrication. Prepare dental models, wax-ups, and molds with meticulous attention to anatomy and occlusion to ensure proper fit and function. Collaborate closely with dentists during chairside assisting sessions to understand specific patient needs and assist with intraoral impressions or medical imaging as needed. Maintain strict infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient data or medical documentation. Operate specialized dental equipment such as micrometers, ceramics furnaces, and laboratory tools while ensuring safety standards are met. Document all procedures accurately within electronic medical records (EMR systems) including medical coding and patient assessment notes. Stay current on advancements in dental fabrication technologies like digital design for dental prosthetics, implantology techniques, and ceramic materials to continually improve craftsmanship. Experience Proven laboratory experience in dental prosthesis fabrication, including removable prosthodontics, full arch restorations, and complete denture fabrication. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion principles, and medical terminology relevant to prosthodontics and implantology. Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software for designing crowns, bridges, implant-supported restorations, and custom prosthetics. Familiarity with infection control practices specific to dental laboratories and clinical environments. Ability to interpret digital impressions, radiographs, or other medical imaging for precise prosthetic fitting. Skilled in the use of various dental materials such as ceramics, acrylics, metals, and composite resins. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
