Job Overview The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the internal and external event production, utilizing audiovisual technology for various events serviced by Five-Star. This includes participating in onsite visits by prospective clients, solicitation of new business, administrative duties, and supervising execution to ensure that our customers receive the proper equipment needed to accomplish their objectives and realize their vision. Responsibilities and Duties Maximize revenues by utilizing a consultation process with clients and guests. Communicate by telephone and written correspondence to determine the clients needs. Works closely with hotel sales staff and others to develop relationships for upcoming conventions and meetings. Uses customized meeting diagrams, Five-Star computerized billing system and marketing materials that create and deliver sales presentations. Develops and enhances relationship with hotel sales and convention services personnel. Often serves as the main Five-Star representative at the groups arrival Negotiate directly with clients when necessary on costs to endure that no audiovisual business is lost due to pricing Minimizes service challenges through advance client contract consulting, anticipating needs, and consulting with operation team Produce and consult clients on event materials in accordance with guest needs and goals including, marketing, directional signage, presentation materials, selection of environment enhancements to improve ROI. Supervise execution to ensure final product meets the expectations of Five-Star and the client. Establish and maintain CRM and sales files to track all future bookings Develop and maintain long-term relationships with VIP/repeat hotel clients. Attend all site inspections and pre- and post-event meetings. Create and review final billing directly with client and obtain approval of all audiovisual charges Follow up with all clients through thank you letters and post event service evaluations. Follow and act in accordance with all company rules and policies in regard to general operations of the company, including but not limited to sales and promotional policies, procedures and specific company rules. Maintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and image of self and company. Qualifications Proven track record in AV sales, event production, or a related field. Strong knowledge of AV equipment, technology, and live event production. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is a plus.
