CONTINUING EDUCATION - CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH INSTRUCTOR TRUMAN COLLEGE
Truman College Continuing Education is currently seeking an instructor for Conversational Spanish. If you have passion for teaching and learning and are committed to the mission of the community college, consider joining our team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Design courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation in their own learning. Create an effective learning environment that includes reading, writing, listening, and speaking strategies, focusing on conversational skills. Help students reach their academic, personal and career goals for speaking Spanish. Foster a safe environment that respects the diversity of people and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence in every student's ability to learn. Answer student inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in oral and written Spanish language. Must be a native speaker or have appropriate educational background Ability to teach online via Zoom or in person Teaching experience preferred but not required Knowledge of Brightspace preferred but not required Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of staff and students Ability to teach the Spanish language to a diverse, multi-lingual student population with varied degrees of proficiency A commitment to the open access mission of the community college
Additional Information:
