S. in the subject identified The qualified candidate for the long-term substitute role will perform duties and responsibilities to ensure that learning keeps moving forward during a teacher's extended absence. 5 classes +Prep + Resource English 1/2 EL, AP English Language and Composition (2), English 3 EL, and English Bridge EL Qualifications Professional educator's license in the subject area identified. Knowledge of best practices as it relates to supporting (all) students' ability to learn Strong communications skills Honors or AP experience, preferred ESL, a plus Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all Inclusive) Instruct students based on subject

• specific curriculum; grade assignments and maintain attendance Supplement lesson plans utilizing interactive technology as appropriate Supervise and ensure safety of students during classroom hours Meet with Department Chair on a regular basis and seek mentoring from other departmental staff members Maintain the highest level of ethical and professional demeanor with students and staff consistent with the Sexual Harassment, Equal Educational Opportunity, Ethics, Use of Electronic Media, and other appropriate policies of the district.

May need to participate in parent-teacher conferences and/or school-sponsored professional development Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and Board policy.
