Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging Spanish instruction to high school students, following the schools curriculum and standards Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments tailored to promote communication and comprehension Foster a positive, communicative classroom atmosphere where students are motivated to participate Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support learners of diverse abilities Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed Maintain up-to-date records, including grades and attendance

Qualifications:

Current LA Spanish/Foreign Language Educator Certificate authorizing instruction at the high school level Bachelors degree or higher in Spanish, Education, or related field Experience teaching high school Spanish or in general education preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt teaching methods for a variety of learning styles Commitment to inspiring students and upholding educational standards This is a contract opportunity offering a 35-hour work week onsite at a vibrant high school, with the chance to make meaningful connections and hone your teaching practice.
