Qualifications:
Current Louisiana certification in Spanish or Foreign Language, eligible for instruction at the high school level Proven classroom experience teaching Spanish, with strong command of instructional techniques Ability to design, implement, and adapt lesson plans for diverse learners Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff Collaborative approach and positive attitude toward student achievement Flexibility and professionalism in a school setting Commitment to engaging students and measuring progress toward learning outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive Spanish lessons focused on reading, writing, speaking, and cultural understanding for high school students Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs Develop a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages language practice and student participation Participate in school-based meetings and professional development activities Effectively communicate with parents and staff regarding progress and classroom activities Maintain thorough records in accordance with school policies This full-time, onsite contract offers a consistent 35-hour work week through May 26, 2027.
