Job Summary We are currently looking for candidates to fill our part-time, semester-based teaching position in the area of English as a Second Language (ESL) . A PPL instructor might teach one non-credit class in their area of expertise, or might teach several classes, all dependent on student demand for the subject matter. Similarly, a PPL instructor might teach one, two or three semesters a year depending on need. However, at no point will the PPL instructor teach full-time. Personal & Professional Learning (PPL) offers a variety of professional development and leisure-based, non-credit classes and programs for adults, seniors and children. Writing Skills:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective and current employees, and groups of managers.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Office Environment:
