Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Foreign Language Teacher to inspire students in acquiring new languages and cultural understanding. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to design engaging lessons, foster linguistic skills, and support students' academic growth across diverse learning styles. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a strong foundation in language instruction, ensuring an enriching classroom environment that promotes active participation and lifelong learning. Your role will be vital in helping students develop fluency, cultural awareness, and confidence in their language abilities. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with educational standards, including AP (Advanced Placement) programs and standardized testing requirements. Design and implement IT-integrated lessons utilizing educational technology to enhance language acquisition and engagement. Create innovative lesson plans tailored to various learning styles, incorporating literacy education, creative writing, and social sciences content where applicable. Manage classroom activities effectively, employing behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment for teenagers. Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, curriculum development, and educational best practices to ensure consistency and excellence across programs. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and achievement milestones through clear and professional channels. Provide tutoring and individualized support to students needing extra assistance in language skills or exam preparation. Qualifications Proven experience teaching foreign languages at the high school or middle school level, preferably within private or Montessori school settings. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, AP style guidelines, Chicago Manual of Style, and copy editing principles. Familiarity with educational technology integration, learning management systems, and IT-based instructional tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Demonstrated classroom management skills coupled with organizational abilities for lesson planning and instructional delivery. Background in linguistics, literacy education, or related fields; experience working with diverse learners including special education needs is a plus. Understanding of educational compliance regulations and experience implementing inclusive teaching strategies for social sciences or language arts. Pay:
$47,512.00 - $89,459.00 per year
