DEEP COLLABORATION THROUGH LANGUAGE
IMMERSIONCollaboration here isn't a buzzword: it's woven into everything we do given that our students in grades 1-5 alternate their days between their English and Target Language classrooms.

Teacher teams composed of English and Spanish teachers share two classes of studentsTeacher teams share responsibility for teaching curriculum that promotes their students' social, emotional and academic growth in both languages.

Given this structure, teacher teams communicate daily to plan lessons and discuss student progressAdditionally teachers collaborate with fellow grade-level and language colleagues during weekly meetings.

Job DescriptionPosition dates: October 2026 - February 2027, subject to some flexibility
WHAT YOU'LL
DOCollaborate intensively and daily with Spanish and English colleagues to design learning outcomes, monitor growth, and thoughtfully address individual student needs.

Design and teach innovative curriculum that engages all learners in meaningful and challenging work that cultivates real-world problem solving skills and develops social responsibilityDeeply connect with students, colleagues and parents to vigorously uphold a culture of welcome, safety and respect.

Invoke a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to deeply value being at school and feel part of a rigorous and joyful learning community.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU
BRINGFull fluency in Spanish and experience in immersion teachingAt least 3 years of teaching experience in grades K-6 with a proven track record of student learningStrong understanding of instructional skills teaching through a balanced literacy approach in the reading and writing workshop modelExperience with problem-based mathematics instructionHighly effective collaborator, eager to listen deeply, contribute to a team and achieve goals togetherDeep dedication to learning and growing as an educatorRespect for, and appreciation of, a diverse community of learners, families and colleaguesAbility to embrace change and consider new perspectivesGraduate degree in education, teaching or a related field highly preferredCandidates with diverse backgrounds encouraged to applyAdditional InformationIf hired for this position, the annual salary range is between $53,000 - $110,000. The final salary offered will be prorated against the position's start and end dates. The salary offered may vary depending on your professional experience and skills.
