Location:
Oregon City High School This position will be teaching Spanish I and Study Skills.
Position Description:
The candidate accepting this full-time position will teach Spanish at the high school level. Upon hire, the teacher will be instructing students to develop Spanish language skills in reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and cultural understanding.
Special Requirements:
( Certification, training, and specialty skills or previous experience) Valid Oregon teaching license with an endorsement in Spanish. Fluent Spanish required. Use of a variety of learning and instructional models. Interest in being involved with the school community. Knowledge of and experience with the use of technology in the classroom. Implementation of various assessment strategies. Ability to work collaboratively to develop curriculum, assessments, and share responsibilities. Experience with managing student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Assess students' academic learning and or skills for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents, and adminstration. Prepare teaching materials and reports( grades, attendance) for providing documentation of teacher and student progress. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality. Multiple Subject endorsement preferred. Bi-lingual and or multi-cultural preferred. - January 29, 2027 Salary will be based on OCEA Salary Schedule and adjusted based on number of contract days.
