A Bilingual, ESL, or Language Teacher teaches foreign languages to students in elementary to secondary schools. This includes English as a second language. Common foreign languages which are taught are Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, German, Dutch, Russian, Mandarin, and Arabic.
$20•25 per hour (based on experience) Position Overview Language Lab Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time After-School Spanish Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year . This position offers the opportunity to inspire young learners through engaging, curriculum-based Spanish instruction in a fun, supportive after-school environment. Our after-school Spanish program is a structured extension of the school day that helps students develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding . Teachers are provided with curriculum, lesson plans, instructional materials, and ongoing support, allowing them to focus on delivering high-quality instruction and building meaningful relationships with students. Responsibilities Deliver engaging, curriculum-based Spanish lessons for elementary or intermediate students. Implement Language Lab Academy's curriculum with fidelity while adapting instruction to meet students' learning needs. Foster the development of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and conversational Spanish skills. Incorporate interactive activities, songs, games, movement, storytelling, technology, and cultural experiences to promote language acquisition. Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and grow. Supervise students during after-school program hours while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. Monitor student participation and encourage consistent progress throughout the school year. Communicate professionally with program coordinators, school staff, and parents when appropriate. Follow all district and program policies regarding student safety, emergency procedures, and supervision. Qualifications Fluency in Spanish (professional proficiency preferred). Experience teaching or working with elementary or middle school students. Teaching certification is a plus but not required. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to engage students through interactive, hands-on instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional.
