High School Business Teacher

The Quarry Lane School is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory school serving preschool through grade 12, which supports a diverse faculty and student body. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Carries out all duties associated with teaching the classes on a teacher's given schedule. This may include advisory and other duties as needed. Maintains respectful and cooperative interactions with students, parents, teachers, co- workers, and administrators. Is a positive role model for students, taking into account the teacher's influence on each student's personal growth, academic ability and passion, and emotional stability. Efficiently manages the students in the teacher's classroom and maintain a high standard for classroom behavior. Keeps the Director informed of students who are falling behind in classes, as well as students with larger academic, social, or emotional concerns. Maintains open lines of communications with the parent body and promptly notifies parents when individual student issues arise. Maintains clear oral and written communication with students regarding expectations, grades, and behavior. Is punctual and has a consistent and good attendance record. Consistently meets deadlines; such deadlines include but are not limited to those pertaining to submission of grades, progress reports, and comments. Offers office hours to students.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a business field Two to five years of experience teaching a high school business course Passionate about education and teaching high school students. Enthusiastic person with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
