The Management and Organization Department at Boston College's Carroll School of Management invites applications for an open-rank tenured or tenure-track position beginning Fall 2027. Candidates studying any level(s) of analysis should employ rigorous qualitative or quantitative methodologies. Senior candidates with a strong scholarly record are encouraged to apply regardless of research focus. The Management and Organization Department combines the fields of organizational behavior, organizational theory, and strategy. Our faculty regularly publish in the Academy of Management Journal , Academy of Management Review , Organization Science , and Administrative Quarterly . Many departmental faculty members are active as journal editors and serve in leadership roles in the Academy of Management. The department offers a PhD program as well as MBA and undergraduate concentrations. It is affiliated with several independent centers at Boston College, including the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics, the Center for Corporate Citizenship, and the Sloan Center on Work & Aging. Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed a PhD in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, or in a related degree; tenure-track candidates must expect to complete their PhD by August, 2027. Ideal candidates will bring strong research skills, a commitment to excellent teaching, and a collaborative spirit. Engagement with PhD students is an integral part of this role.
