221410 - Management & Leadership Position Summary La Salle's Early Achievement Program (LEAP) offers credit-bearing college-level courses to motivated students at partner high schools. The Management and Leadership Department is seeking instructors for a new course, ENT 170: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, that will be offered in Summer 2023. We are especially looking for instructors who can bring energy, creativity, enthusiasm, support, and encouragement to high school students in this experiential, project-based course. Sections will meet in-person at La Salle's campus on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (10 AM to noon) or afternoons (1 PM to 3 PM) for six weeks, from June 20 to July 27, 2023. Students will receive additional instruction through asynchronous online activities. The course will follow a common syllabus, workbook, and structure, and a course coordinator will provide instructors with advance training and guidance. Essential Duties Attend training sessions and familiarize oneself in advance with upcoming presentation content, book materials, and student assignments Lead class meetings in a manner consistent with the structure of the course, while also being flexible in adapting to the rate of learning among students Encourage discussion, engagement, and student involvement; be creative in seeking and highlighting learning moments in class activities Support and mentor student teams Collaborate with the course coordinator, other instructors, and LEAP student mentors as needed Be available to address questions and assist students as students complete asynchronous assignments Provide timely grading and feedback to students Required Qualifications A master's degree or higher Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching experience Special Instructions to Applicant Interested parties should submit a cover letter, CV or resume, and, if available, PDFs of course evaluations for courses recently taught.
