Full Job Description Position Announcement:
Full-time Adjunct in Chemistry Coe College invites applications for a full-time adjunct in Chemistry, beginning January 2027. We seek a teacher‑scholar who is passionate about undergraduate education and high‑impact teaching practices. Primary Responsibilities Teach General Chemistry courses with laboratories and other courses aligned with the candidate's area of expertise/interest Contribute to departmental assessment Hold regular office hours and be responsive to student email questions Qualifications A Ph.D. (preferred; M.S. required) in Chemistry or a closely related field (ABD considered with evidence of timely completion) Demonstrated excellence—or clear potential—for effective, student‑centered undergraduate teaching Ability to teach general chemistry with associated laboratories About the Position This position is a renewable (annually evaluated as college needs require), benefits-eligible appointment with the opportunity for professional growth within a collaborative and student‑focused department.
