Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Baseball Coach to inspire young athletes and foster a love for the game. In this paid position, you will lead youth baseball teams, develop skill-building drills, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help children build confidence, improve their athletic abilities, and enjoy the excitement of baseball. Responsibilities Plan and execute engaging baseball practices that focus on fundamental skills, game strategies, and fun activities. Lead youth baseball teams during games, providing clear instructions and encouragement to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Assess players' skills and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Foster a positive environment that emphasizes safety, respect, and enjoyment of the sport. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding team updates, player progress, and upcoming events. Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols, including first aid procedures and AED operation when necessary. Promote team leadership qualities among players through coaching in sports-specific techniques such as batting, fielding, base running, and game rules. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in sports or educational settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of baseball rules, techniques, and coaching methods. Strong communication skills to motivate young athletes and engage with parents effectively. Experience in sports coaching or team leadership roles; background in soccer coaching, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, karate (judo or jiu-jitsu), or martial arts is a plus. Ability to motivate children of various skill levels while maintaining a fun and disciplined environment. Enthusiasm for sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or martial arts demonstrates versatility in coaching different athletic disciplines.
