Job Description
Coaching staff will lead the sport program both on and off the field/court. Not only must coaches demonstrate knowledge of the sport, basic coaching principles, and an understanding of the AIA by-laws, they must also be an ambassador for the school and program.
Essential duties include:
- Practice plans
- Submitting rosters to the Athletic Department
- Maintaining student-athlete safety and supervision
- Assisting the Athletic Department with scheduling opponents
- Maintaining inventories of equipment and uniforms
- Fundraising, and keeping accurate records in order to work with the media to promote the success of the team
- Applicants must have proper certification, including the required NFHS coaching courses, fingerprint clearance card, and an application on file with the district.
