Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant and developing team as a Part-Time Assistant Swim Team Coach and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential in the pool! This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about swimming, sports coaching, and working with children. As a key member of our aquatic program, you will support the head coach in developing success driven swimmers while fostering a fun and safe environment. Duties Assist the head coach in planning and executing swim practices tailored to various skill levels at the Gilbert and Queen Creek locations. Support swimmers during training sessions, providing guidance on technique, safety, and sportsmanship Foster a culture of excellence by instilling strong work ethics among swimmers Help monitor pool safety by ensuring adherence to all safety protocols, including AED operation and first aid procedures Engage with children to motivate, encourage, and build their confidence in swimming and team participation Contribute to team organization by managing equipment, setting up drills, and maintaining a clean, safe environment Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding swimmer progress and team events Support team leadership by helping coordinate meets, practices, and special events Qualifications Prior lifeguard experience or USA certification is highly desirable Willing to work in the evenings on weekdays, weekends and at swim meets as needed Willing to be trained and open to learn new ideas, responsible and flexible with great attitude. Strong swimming skills with experience in competitive or recreational swimming. Experience in swim instruction or stroke technique progresson in all four competitive strokes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage behavior effectively in a group setting Certification in CPR/AED and first aid required; willingness to obtain if not already certified Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and staff confidently
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
