Nov. 2nd - Feb. 4th 2027 Empire High School is seeking an Assistant Boys Soccer Coach to support the head coach in developing and mentoring student-athletes. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, game preparation and strategy, teaching fundamental soccer skills, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting the overall goals and culture of the boys soccer program.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance player performance and team success. Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork. Organize and supervise team practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies. Promote academic achievement and ensure players adhere to eligibility requirements. Represent Empire High School with professionalism in the community and in interscholastic competitions. Ensure compliance with Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) rules and school policies.

Qualifications:
Required:

Strong knowledge of the sport's fundamentals, rules, and strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Must pass a background check as required by the school district.

Preferred:

Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level. Previous experience as an assistant coach. Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles. Experience with student-athlete development programs.
