Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated youth Sports Coach to join our team. We provide after-school sport/movement classes to various schools. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and be able to instruct various sports such as basketball, soccer, lacrosse, flag-football, group games (kickball,dodgeball,ect.) and physical education, with the ability to educate and inspire young children. This role involves instructing children and adolescents in a supportive environment, promoting teamwork, discipline, and fun through engaging activities. Responsibilities Develop and implement training programs tailored to the skill levels of participants in various sports. Educate athletes on techniques, strategies, and rules of the game while promoting good sportsmanship. Monitor the progress of athletes and provide constructive feedback to enhance their performance. Foster a positive team environment that encourages participation and personal growth. Communicate effectively with the point of contact at the school should an issue take place with a student Qualifications Proven experience in coaching or teaching physical education, or working with children Candidates must have at least 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits. Strong knowledge of one or more sports such as basketball, soccer, lacrosse, flag-football Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. Background in childcare or education is a plus. Ability to demonstrate techniques clearly and effectively to students of varying skill levels. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
