Non-Exempt, Part-Time, 10 hours per week Job Summary Each ASOC Club Sports Coach is responsible for guiding and mentoring student participants in one of the ASOC Club Sports-Oxy Dance Team, Womyn's Rugby Club, Men's Rugby Club, Men's Ultimate, WAC Ultimate, Men's Lacrosse Club, and Oxy Gaming Guild. The ASOC Club Sports Coach is charged with developing and implementing training programs, organizing and leading practices, and coaching teams during games and tournaments. Job Duties 50%

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by introducing and maintaining both a professional learning environment and a positive approach to intercollegiate competitive play.

• Provide feedback and guidance to participants on their individual performance and function within the team.

• Communicate with ASOC stakeholders regarding team schedules, practices, and games.

• Collaborate with other coaches and SLICE Director to ensure a positive and supportive team environment.
• (Marginal) Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of experience coaching or training a sports team at the high school or college/university level. Previous coaching experience in youth sports; strong knowledge of the identified sport, including rules and regulations; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and inspire young athletes; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends; and have CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with additional coaching or kinesiology certificate. 3+ years of of experience coaching or training a sports team at the college/university level.
