About Us Body Fit Training (BFT) is a global strength and conditioning brand with 300+ locations worldwide. Our Brentwood studio delivers structured, 50-minute group strength and conditioning sessions designed for all fitness levels. BFT operates on a two-coach per session model and is built on three core pillars that differentiate our product: Elite Coaching Progressive Programming (8-10 week training blocks) Heart Rate Technology We are a high-expectation, growth-focused studio in one of the most competitive fitness markets in Los Angeles and are seeking a top-tier Head Coach to lead from the front. Position Overview This is a coaching-first leadership role. Your primary responsibility and majority of hours will be spent delivering high-level group training sessions and setting the standard for coaching excellence on the floor. As Head Coach, you will also oversee the broader training experience, including: Coaching quality and consistency Member retention and engagement Team leadership and development Execution of in-studio programming and initiatives Basic Admin duties: Payroll, scheduling, social media, to name a few. This role requires a self-driven, highly accountable operator who leads by example and executes at a high level consistently. Schedule & Commitment Part-Time (~25-30 hours/week) Minimum 15 coaching sessions/week (required) Typical range: 15-21 sessions/week Additional 5-10 hours/week administrative time Flexibility in hours is required Must have availability for: Early mornings Evenings Weekends Key Responsibilities Coaching & Product Delivery (Primary Focus) Deliver high-energy, structured 50-minute group sessions (up to 36 members) Set and maintain elite coaching standards across all sessions Ensure proper form, safety, and consistency Create a motivating, inclusive, and high-performance training environment Drive member engagement, attendance, and retention Leadership & Team Development Lead, manage, and develop the coaching team Build and manage the weekly and monthly coaching schedule Set the tone for energy, professionalism, and accountability Participate in and help lead leadership and performance meetings Programming & Member Experience Execute BFT programming with excellence Provide minimal design and implementation of non-BFT sessions (e.g., Sundays & special events) Continuously elevate the in-studio member experience Retention, Sales & Studio Performance Own and drive member retention strategy and execution Assist with in-studio tours, onboarding, and sales support as needed Be accountable to key performance KPIs, including: Retention Attendance/utilization Sales support impact Overall studio performance Community & Brand Growth Assist with grassroots marketing and community activations Participate in local events and partnerships Maintain a strong presence that builds community and brand loyalty Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2+ years of group fitness coaching experience (required) Prior Head Coach or leadership experience strongly preferred Nationally recognized personal training certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, etc.) Current CPR/AED certification Strong knowledge of strength training, movement mechanics, and progressive programming Proven ability to coach large group classes (20-36+ clients) with high energy and consistency Experience driving member retention, engagement, and class attendance Comfortable supporting sales, tours, and member onboarding Ability to lead and develop a coaching team while holding high performance standards Self-driven, accountable, and consistent executor in a metrics/KPI-driven environment Must have flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends Compensation & Benefits $40-$50 per session (coaching rate) $20-$25 per hour (administrative/non-coaching time) PLUS Monthly bonus potential (based on studio performance KPIs) Complimentary studio membership Access to training facilities and ongoing development High-performance, team-oriented environment Location Requirement In-person role at our Brentwood studio (Los Angeles, CA 90049) Must be within a reasonable commuting distance How to Apply Please submit your resume via Indeed to apply.
