Position Overview:
Torres High School is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to serve as the Head Coach of the Boys Tennis Program. The successful candidate will provide leadership, organization, and direction for the Boys Tennis program while promoting academic achievement, sportsmanship, character development, and competitive excellence.
Specific Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Serve as the Head Coach of the Torres Boys Tennis Program. Develop a positive team and program culture while providing clear direction and vision for the program. Develop individual and team skill sets, techniques, and competition strategies necessary for overall program success. Create and communicate a program vision and strategic plan while providing instruction to student-athletes in the consistent execution of that vision. Plan and oversee all scheduled off-season workouts, in-season practices, competitions, and post-competition evaluations. Establish and supervise a comprehensive off-season strength training, conditioning, endurance, and agility program. Collaborate with THS Athletic Administration in the selection, supervision, and evaluation of assistant coaches. Ensure all rules and regulations regarding student-athlete conduct, safety, academics, and eligibility are communicated and followed. Communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with student-athletes, parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, officials, opponents, alumni and community members. Maintain all required coaching certifications and district-mandated trainings. Complete all required paperwork, reports, inventories, transportation requests, and other documentation in a timely manner. Qualifications:
Previous Boys Tennis Experience preferred. Applicants should possess comprehensive knowledge, technical proficiency, and the ability to effectively develop the Boys Tennis Athletes.
