Job Description
Job Summary Provides Instruction to students in percussion, auxiliary percussion, and other front ensemble instruments. This position assists the Band Director with rehearsals, technique development, music preparation, and performance readiness while maintaining a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment. Supports VAPA teachers and coaches by assisting with instruction and providing some direct teaching to students. Applicant must be prepared to possibly work evenings and/ or weekends.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience in subject with 2 or more years of experience teaching and/ or assisting in a classroom environment preferred.
• Two professional references must be from an evaluating supervisor/administrator. If selected to coach, the following items will be required prior to clearance: 1) TB/Drug Screening within 5 days of offer. 2) Live Scan Fingerprinting 3) CIF Home/ Home Campus Account 4) Completion of Keenan SafeSchools online training modules.
