Supports the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques for the program. Maintains a knowledge of all sport, school, league, section and state rules and by-laws. Foster training in conduct, ethics and sportsmanship for all athletes and coaches. Supervision of the athletes before, during and after workouts. Shall continually update professional expertise in the appropriate area by attending clinics, joining professional organizations, reading professional literature or any other acceptable means. Work with the Athletic Director to solve problems at the lowest level while supporting the ideas of the program/parent/coaches concerning procedures. Shall perform such necessary details in this position which are not specifically stated but which are considered by competent authorities to be generally associated with the Assistant Coaching position.Qualifications:
Demonstrates three-years of successful experience as a high school baseball coach or equivalent experience as a player or club coach. Demonstrates knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques, as well as the advanced techniques in the sport of baseball. Demonstrates successful personality and character traits appropriate to Catholic educational leadership. Demonstrates successful ability to teach, enforce, advocate and model appropriate behavior, character traits, Christian and educational values to student-athletes Demonstrates successful ability to teach, organize and supervise student-athletes. Demonstrates successful management and organizational skills.Demonstrates successful ability to work with parent groups, administrators, staff and students.
