Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Sports Coach to join our team. This role focuses on coaching young children, ages 2 - 5, to develop their athletic skills, teamwork, and love for sports in a fun and supportive environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has the ability to create a positive, energetic atmosphere, and is passionate about sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver sports activities: Develop and implement age-appropriate sports drills, games, and activities that promote physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork.
Provide instruction and encouragement:
Teach basic sports skills and techniques while maintaining a fun and engaging environment. Offer positive reinforcement to build confidence and enthusiasm.
Promote safety:
Ensure all activities are conducted safely, supervising children closely to prevent injuries and maintain a secure environment.
Foster teamwork and sportsmanship:
Encourage cooperation, respect, and good sportsmanship among participants. Address any behavioral issues promptly and constructively.
Communicate with parents:
Provide regular updates on children's progress and upcoming events. Address any concerns or questions parents may have.
Maintain equipment and facilities:
Set up and take down sports equipment, ensuring everything is in good condition. Help keep the facility clean and organized.
Monitor and evaluate progress:
Track the development of each child's skills and provide feedback to help them improve.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience coaching or teaching young children in sports or physical activities.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to engage young children. Knowledge of basic sports techniques and rules.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certification required but don't worry we'll help you out with that!
Physical Requirements:
Ability to actively participate in sports activities, including running, lifting, and being on your feet for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Passion for working with children and fostering their love for sports. Ability to create a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
