TTA partners with local Parks & Recreation agencies and other community organizations to provide high-quality tennis instruction for youth and adults. As our programs continue to expand, we are looking for additional instructors to help lead existing classes and open new programs. This position is a great fit for anyone who enjoys tennis, teaching, working with people, and staying active. We welcome experienced tennis instructors as well as candidates with strong playing backgrounds who are interested in developing their coaching skills. Flexible opportunities may be especially well suited for: College students looking for part-time work Retired individuals looking to stay active and involved in the community Current or former competitive tennis players Teachers, coaches, camp counselors, and recreation professionals Individuals looking to gain experience in sports instruction or coaching Responsibilities As a Tennis Instructor with TTA, you will: Teach group tennis classes for youth and adults using TTA's class structure and lesson plans Provide clear instruction on tennis fundamentals, including technique, footwork, rally skills, scoring, strategy, and sportsmanship Create a fun, welcoming, engaging, and safe learning environment Adjust drills and instruction based on participants' ages, skill levels, and learning styles Manage class flow and keep participants actively involved throughout each lesson Communicate professionally with parents, participants, TTA staff, and Parks & Recreation personnel Set up and break down courts and organize tennis equipment before and after classes Help maintain a clean and safe court environment Represent Total Tennis Academy professionally at all times Qualifications We are looking for candidates who are: Reliable, punctual, professional, and dependable Comfortable working with children and adults Able to communicate clearly and positively with participants and parents Comfortable leading small group classes Able to adapt instruction for different ages and ability levels Enthusiastic about tennis and helping others improve Preferred Experience Tennis playing, coaching, or teaching experience Experience working with children through coaching, teaching, camps, recreation programs, or similar environments Competitive tennis experience at the high school, college, club, USTA, or tournament level Experience in sports, recreation, education, or customer service Previous tennis teaching experience is preferred but not required. Training and lesson-plan support are available for the right candidate. Why Work With TTA?
