Our mission is to foster a love for the sport while providing high-level training, positive mentorship, and a pathway toward collegiate and Junior Olympic-level success. With strong community support, a passionate coaching team, and a culture of accountability, Titans is a growing force in Southern California Water Polo. Position Overview We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic Head Coach to lead and build our 16 and Under Competitive Team. You'll have full ownership of building your own group—ideal for someone who loves the sport, cares about developing youth athletes, and is ready to inspire future water polo players.
Note:
Coaching experience is not required. However, extensive water polo experience is essential. We are looking for coaches who are passionate about giving back to the sport they love and excited to help young athletes grow. Key Responsibilities Lead 16U practices. Only for water polo. Athletes will have swim days on T/Th. Design and implement age-appropriate training plans Teach fundamental water polo skills, water safety, and game concepts Prepare athletes for competition including scrimmages, tournaments, and Junior Olympics Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedule, progress, and team goals Attend weekend tournaments and scrimmages as scheduled Promote a positive and disciplined team culture Coordinate and offer private lessons to athletes seeking extra development Collaborate with the Titans coaching staff to support athlete transitions through levels Take ownership in building and growing your team Qualifications Extensive water polo experience is required Experience working with youth is a plus Coaching experience is welcome, but not required USA Water Polo Coach Membership (or willingness to obtain) Skills & Attributes Love for the sport of water polo and a genuine passion for coaching youth athletes Strong leadership and communication skills (especially with parents and young players) Reliability and punctuality - must be consistently present and on-time Positive, team-first attitude with high personal accountability Ability to manage, organize, and inspire a group of beginner/intermediate players Creative and flexible approach to building training sessions Eagerness to contribute to the Titans Water Polo culture and mission Perks Private lesson revenue potential Work alongside a passionate, experienced coaching staff Participation in major events like Junior Olympics and regional tournaments Interested?
