Position Overview:
CNCC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Men's Basketball Coach to join our athletic department. This position will assist the Head Men's Basketball Coach in managing and developing the Men's Basketball Program, with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring student-athletes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in collegiate athletics.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a role model and mentor to student-athletes. Collaborate with the head coach to handle day-to-day operations and administration of the basketball program. Recruit high-quality student-athletes through off-campus recruiting activities, including games, fairs, and school visits. Foster relationships with high school and prep school coaches to attract potential recruits. Supervise and monitor the academic progress of student-athletes. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned to support the program.
Essential Qualifications:
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of playing and/or coaching experience; 4 years preferred. CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record. Must possess or agree to obtain a CDL within two months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NJCAA, Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) rules, policies, and regulations. Understanding of academic advising within higher education. Familiarity with film editing software, such as Synergy and Hudl. Join us at CNCC and make a difference in the lives of student-athletes!
