Compensation:
$18
•22 per hour
Responsibilities:
As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by Aquatics Manager. Weekday availability in the afternoons and evenings, and mornings on the weekend. Potential shifts will occur mostly in the afternoons and evenings on Weekdays and in the mornings on Weekends. Be correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared pool-side at least 15 minutes before the start of your first lesson. Conduct classes in a fun and gentle environment, following current teaching methods, policies and safety and emergency procedures as detailed in the British Swim School teacher training manual and as directed by the Aquatics Director Answer all customer questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and resolve complaints and issues when necessary. Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by Aquatics Director or Manager. Candidates will obtain CPR, AED and lifeguard certification within 90 days of hiring date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideally, you understand all four swimming strokes and an overall appreciation for the water. Love working with children and seeing them progress. You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Enthusiastic personality. Experience working with children.
