Compensation:
$17-$25 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide swim instruction. Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents. Enforce safety rules and regulations. Complete required paperwork in a timely manner. Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students' swim skills. Use problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter. Inspect pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Reports issues to management as appropriate. Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment. Places and removes lane lines. Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, pool vacuuming, etc… Attend mandatory meetings/training outside of regular working hours. Weekday and weekend availability.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and organizational skills Enthusiastic Personality 16 years or older No prior teaching experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and have fun is a must!
Certificates and Licenses :
American Red Cross- Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment :
Swim instructors spend the majority of their working time in the pool with students.
