Part-Time Swim Instructor Locations:
LA Fitness Altamonte Springs & EOS Fitness Hiawassee Join our team as a Part-Time Swim Instructor and help build confident, safer swimmers. In this rewarding role, you'll teach engaging swim lessons to children and adults while creating a fun, supportive learning environment. At British Swim School, you'll receive comprehensive training to teach our gentle, progressive swim program for students as young as 3 months old. You'll follow a class schedule developed by management and work closely with swimmers, parents, and fellow instructors. Responsibilities Report to and support the Aquatics Manager and/or Director. Teach swim lessons according to British Swim School standards and maintain required certifications. Lead engaging lessons for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Follow all safety protocols, including AED operation and emergency procedures. Communicate effectively with students and families while providing encouragement and feedback. Foster a positive, respectful learning environment. Collaborate with team members and assist with lesson planning. Maintain accurate attendance and student progress records. Work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday (2:30 PM to 8:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:30 AM to 2:30 PM). Participate in special events as needed. Be comfortable working in a moderate to high noise environment and remaining in the water throughout your shift. Qualifications Lifeguard experience or certification preferred. CPR/AED certification required or willingness to obtain it. Experience coaching sports, teaching, or working with children is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of behavior management techniques. Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout lessons. About Us British Swim School is more than a swim lesson provider.
