N Zone Sports Central Florida Oviedo / Chuluota, FL $25/hour | Part-Time Contract Position Saturday Mornings | Approximately 3-5 Paid Hours About the Position N Zone Sports Central Florida is looking for an energetic, charismatic, and dependable Lead Youth Sports Academy Coach for our Saturday morning academies in the Oviedo/Chuluota area. Our academies serve children ages 3-8 and are designed to be a bridge between a child's introduction to athletics and their next step into recreational sports. At N Zone Sports, especially with our youngest athletes, fun comes first . We want children to fall in love with being active and playing sports while developing confidence and fundamental skills. As athletes progress through our 5-6 and 7-8 age groups, instruction gradually becomes more skill-focused and prepares them for their next level of play. We're looking for someone who doesn't just know sports—but knows how to coach, engage, and connect with young children. Sports We Coach Our primary academy sports include: Flag Football Soccer Basketball T-Ball / Baseball Multi-Sport Programs You do not need to be an expert in every sport. Strong experience in one or more of these sports is welcomed, along with additional sports backgrounds. How Our Academies Work Academies generally run in 6- to 8-week Saturday sessions , with age divisions of: Ages 3-4 | Ages 5-6 | Ages 7-8 The Lead Coach will run multiple age-appropriate classes each Saturday and will always have an Assistant Coach to help with equipment, demonstrations, transitions, and player management. N Zone Sports provides the curriculum, equipment, and developmental goals for each academy. However, we value the experience of our coaches and encourage you to contribute your own drills, ideas, and coaching methods as long as they align with the overall goals of the program. All equipment is provided. Parents Are Present These academies operate much like a traditional youth sports practice. Parents and guardians remain nearby and will generally watch from the sidelines. Our coaches remain focused on the athletes, but applicants should be comfortable confidently leading a group of children in a professional, public-facing environment with parents present. What We're Looking For The right coach will be: Energetic, positive, patient, and charismatic Comfortable taking leadership of a group of young athletes Great at capturing and maintaining children's attention Able to make fundamentals fun and age-appropriate Comfortable coaching children as young as age 3 Able to adjust their coaching style between different age groups Confident coaching while parents are present Dependable, punctual, and professional Comfortable working alongside an Assistant Coach Willing to follow our curriculum while contributing their own coaching expertise Previous experience coaching, training, or providing sports instruction to children under age 10 is strongly preferred. Experience with soccer, flag football, basketball, baseball/T-ball, PE, youth athletic training, sports camps, or similar programs is especially valuable. Schedule & Commitment This position is for Saturday mornings . Coaches should expect approximately 3-5 paid hours per Saturday , generally beginning around 9:00 AM. Paid time includes required setup before the first class and equipment breakdown following the final class. Because our athletes participate in a multi-week developmental program, consistency matters. Coaches should be prepared to commit to the full 6- to 8-week academy session once scheduled, barring illness or emergency. Initial opportunities will be in the Oviedo/Chuluota area , with the potential for future academy sessions and additional locations as the program grows. Compensation $25 per hour This is a part-time, contract-based position tied to scheduled academy sessions. Successful Academy Coaches may have opportunities to return for future academy sessions, Experience Days, multi-sport programs, and additional N Zone Sports locations. Additional Requirements Because we work directly with young children, selected coaches must be willing to complete required background screening and applicable youth sports/safety certifications . This is an active coaching position. Coaches should be comfortable demonstrating skills, moving around the field or court, handling sports equipment, and staying actively engaged with athletes throughout each class. Pay:
