Job Description
Teaching Artist - Position Overview Campus Dance Academy is seeking passionate, high-energy Teaching Artists to instruct students in dance, acro, and/or cheerleading. This role is ideal for educators who believe in the transformative power of the performing arts and are committed to inspiring young students through movement and performance. As a Teaching Artist, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate classes that cultivate creativity, confidence, and technical growth. You will collaborate closely with our Artistic Director and Campus Director to ensure high-quality instruction and successful performance outcomes, while maintaining strong communication with partnering school administrators and staff. This position is both rewarding and impactful — offering the opportunity to shape young performers while contributing to a growing arts education organization. Key Responsibilities Engage students in a variety of dance and cheer styles through dynamic, structured instruction Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with CDA's educational mission Follow curriculum guidelines and artistic standards set by the Artistic Director Design movement exercises that foster creativity, critical thinking, literacy, and self-expression Support performance preparation and ensure adherence to organizational production protocols Attend professional development sessions and planning meetings as required Communicate effectively with CDA staff and partnering school personnel to coordinate schedules, rehearsals, and presentations Handle production-related challenges with professionalism, care, and timeliness Substitute teach when needed, based on campus coverage and staffing needs Perform additional duties as assigned What We Value At Campus Dance Academy, we view our Teaching Artists as leaders and culture-builders. Schedule & Compensation Hours:
During and after school hours (ranging from 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM)Commitment:
1-4 days per week, based on availabilityCompensation:
