Full Job Description About Us:

Lauderdale Yacht Club is a Premiere Private Club open to Members and Guests only near downtown Fort Lauderdale focusing on a family friendly experience for its Members and Guests. We provide food and beverage services, (fine dining and upscale casual dining) social activities, with sailing, tennis, fitness center, an Olympic size swimming pool, and summer camp and other activities for children. We are a Platinum Club of America. This is a Full Time Position with a 40 hour work week including occasional additional evening, weekend, or holiday hours based on the needs of the Tennis Department. Background Screening and Drug Testing Required including Marijuana. Tennis Background desirable. Private Club experience preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

(Essential Functions): Answers tennis office phone and responds to Member inquiries. Takes reservations for tennis court time. Assists with preparing and maintaining tennis courts for play as needed including set up of ball machine for Members. Sells tennis merchandise and maintains the Tennis Pro Shop. JOB KNOWLEDGE, CORE COMPETENCIES AND EXPECTATIONS

Able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. Outstanding customer service skills. Able to enthusiastically promote the game of tennis. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.

TASKS/DUTIES

Supplies towels for Members and Guests. Records all charge tickets. Charges guest fees. Responsible for demonstrator tennis rackets loaned to Members and their Guests. Builds creative and appealing displays and rotates merchandise periodically. Restocks merchandise when necessary. Ensures that tennis accessories are properly inventoried and maintained. Takes and records court reservations and assists in finding cooperative partners for players. Updates sign-up sheets for court reservations. Informs Members about Club programs and tournaments. Directs Members and Guests to their courts. Promotes and sells Tennis Shop merchandise. Fills special orders for Members. Empties trash on each court and keeps courts clean as needed. Maintains Tennis Shop and keeps storage area tidy. Prepares and maintains courts for play every morning and afternoon as needed. Vacuums and dusts tennis shop daily. Takes towels to and from laundry area. Reports any complaints, feedback, or concerns from membership to Director of Tennis Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Tennis

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Background in retail, sporting goods preferred. Must be computer literate and familiar with POS software. Prior tennis teaching skills preferred, but not required.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
