About the role You teach esthetics theory and supervise students in the treatment area, preparing them for Florida licensure and for work in a salon or spa. Our Skin Care program runs 220 hours What you'll do Deliver theory instruction following the approved program curriculum Supervise students performing services on clients in the treatment area Demonstrate skin analysis, facials, extractions, masks, hair removal, and sanitation technique Teach skin anatomy and disorders, and the contraindications that mean a client must be referred to a physician Evaluate practical work and keep accurate records of hours, attendance, and progress Prepare students for the Florida state board examination Enforce sanitation, product safety, and professional conduct standards, and keep services within the scope of a Florida Facial Specialist license Contact students who miss class to understand why and help them get back on track What we're looking for Active Florida Facial Specialist, Full Specialist, or cosmetology license in good standing — and any instructor credential Florida requires to teach in a licensed school At least 2 years of professional skin care experience Patience and the ability to explain technique to students at very different skill levels Dependable attendance and professional presentation Nice to have Experience across skin and nails to support our Full Specialist program Prior teaching or mentoring experience Makeup or lash and brow experience
