In this role, you will lead engaging gymnastics classes, foster teamwork and confidence, and promote healthy physical activity among young learners. Your expertise in sports coaching, behavior management, and working with children will help create memorable experiences that encourage lifelong fitness habits. Duties Plan and deliver age-appropriate recreational gymnastics lessons that emphasize safety, skill development, and enjoyment. Demonstrate proper techniques for basic gymnastics movements and routines, ensuring correct form and safety protocols are followed. Monitor participants closely to provide personalized feedback, encouragement, and support to enhance their progress. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing rules, managing behavior effectively, and conducting regular equipment inspections. Communicate clearly with parents and guardians regarding class progress, safety guidelines, and upcoming events. Assist with event organization such as competitions or showcases to showcase student achievements. Stay current with industry best practices in sports coaching, first aid procedures including CPR/AED operation, and child development. Experience Prior experience working with children in sports or recreational settings is essential. Demonstrated coaching experience in gymnastics or other sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, martial arts (karate, judo), climbing or swimming is highly valued. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive classroom dynamics. Certification in first aid and CPR/AED is required; additional certifications in sports-specific training instruction or physical education are a plus. Experience with team leadership and client communication enhances your ability to connect with participants and their families.
