Responsibilities Plan and execute engaging volleyball practices that develop technical skills, tactical understanding, and team cohesion. Lead the team during matches, providing strategic guidance and motivating players to perform at their best. Foster a safe and inclusive environment by enforcing safety protocols and promoting respectful behavior among students. Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school staff regarding team progress, schedules, and student development. Implement training sessions that incorporate sports-specific techniques such as passing, serving, blocking, and game strategy. Manage team logistics including equipment maintenance, game scheduling, and attendance tracking. Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and positive behavior both on and off the court through effective behavior management strategies. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in sports coaching with a focus on volleyball; previous high school coaching experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, rules, and strategies; ability to teach fundamentals to students of varying skill levels. Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or extracurricular setting. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and school staff. Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required; AED operation knowledge is highly desirable. Additional experience in related sports such as soccer coaching or basketball can enhance your effectiveness as a versatile coach. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to foster a respectful team environment. Passion for physical education and youth development combined with sports-specific training instruction skills.
