Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Children's Swim Instructor, where you'll inspire confidence and foster a love for water safety among young learners. In this energetic role, you'll deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to children's skill levels, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help children develop essential swimming abilities while promoting healthy activity and water safety awareness. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives through sports coaching and physical education. Duties Lead engaging and age-appropriate swimming lessons for children of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers Implement safety protocols, including AED operation and first aid/CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment at all times Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive and structured atmosphere. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, safety, and any concerns Conduct regular assessments of students' swimming skills and provide constructive feedback for improvement Work with other instructors to build various lesson plans to ensure that lessons remain objective and goal orientated for different types of learners. Experience No prior experience is necessary Strong communication skills are vital for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Expectations
  • Applicants must have or be able to obtain certifications in: 1. CPR/First Aid/CPR
  • the training must meet OSHA standards with an in-person training component 2. Safety Training for Swim Coaches
  • The American Red Cross Online Class 3. Basic Swim Instructor
  • The American Red Cross in-person
  • If you do not have these certifications, the owner is willing to pay for you to obtain your certifications with a signed mandatory 6-month commitment.
  • Come ready to work in a rewarding environment to teach children about water safety and age-appropriate swim skills.
  • Must complete a background check prior to employment beginning.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
