Lacrosse Coach Organization :
Windermere Preparatory School is a private, coeducational PK-12 college preparatory school located on a beautiful 48-acre campus in Southwest Orange County, Florida, within the Orlando metropolitan area. Windermere Preparatory School's academic approach is built on complex problem solving and critical thinking, emphasizes intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth, and culminates with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
Description :
Windermere Prep, a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA), is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as Head Boys'Lacrosse Coach. The ideal candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, and leadership to the Boys'Lacrosse program, creating an experience that keeps student-athletes engaged, growing, and excited about the sport. They will foster a strong team culture that encourages students to try lacrosse, challenges players to develop and compete, builds meaningful relationships, and creates a sense of pride in being part of the Windermere Prep Boys'Lacrosse program. This is a seasonal, stipend-only coaching position and does not include a full-time faculty or staff position.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous high school or collegiate lacrosse coaching experience required; head coaching experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the technical, tactical, and strategic aspects of lacrosse.
  • Proven ability to develop student-athletes and build a competitive program.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate an effective coaching staff.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, and the school community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the boys'lacrosse program.
  • Plan and conduct effective practices focused on individual and team development.
  • Build a program culture centered on accountability, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and respect.
  • Develop student-athletes both on and offthe field while reinforcing the importance of academic achievement.
  • Supervise and collaborate with assistant coaches.
  • Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, families, and the Athletic Department.
  • Ensure compliance with all Windermere Prep and FHSAA policies and regulations.
  • Support student-athletes interested in pursuing collegiate lacrosse through the recruitment process.
  • Represent Windermere Prep Athletics with professionalism and integrity.
